SAGA is a meeting – and accommodation right next the town centre of Straumen in Inderøy, where you can have both an educational and relaxing stay with the fjord as your closest neighbour.
OLD CONVERTED SAWMILL
SAGA is beautifully situated right on the waterfront, where the Borgenfjord meets the tidal current (strømmen) which has given its name to the little town of Straumen. The old sawmill has been refurbished and converted to a creative centre with well appointed bedrooms and practical meeting rooms, in addition to a lecture hall and a kitchen crying out for long breakfasts and lunches.
The five bedrooms are tastefully decorated; old objects have been given new lease of life mixed with modern comfort. At SAGA you will find an corrugated iron wall, and fuses that now serves as number plates on the hotel room doors. You can choose between family rooms, doubles and singles. The family room has a private bathroom, the other rooms share two bathrooms.
MEETINGS AND EVENTS
SAGA is the perfect place for small businesses wanting to get away from familiar environments to conduct team building, competance development or simply want to reward employees with an outing with a difference. The typical stay has been day meetins or lunch to lunch-stays, but the SAGA is flexible and facilitates all sorts of gatherings.
Weddings, Christenings, class reunions, birthday celebrations or confirmations; SAGA is a great venues for these types of events as well. Programmes are tailored according to your wishes, with SAGA running the event so that you can relax and enjoy the celebration. Rates and menu suggestions are available upon request.
SAGA is also the principal place of one of the most active workshop organisers, NORDphotography, which hosts photography courses with some of the world’s best photographers. Additionally, There is a art ggallery at SAGA, which exhibits grea photographic art of international standard every summer.
