Gangstad Farm Dairy was established in 1998 and has since excelled in numerous competitions. Gold medals have been won continuously, and more and more customers have become loyal followers. Here, they produce Gangstad Salad Cheese, Gourmet Cheese, Edel Blue, Nidelven Blue, Heavenly Blue, Edel White, Camembert, Caraway Cheese, Granstubben, and Spiced Cheese. They also make tasty marmalades suitable for all types of cheese, a selection of crackers, and a delightful natural yogurt.

ICE CREAM IN ADDITION TO CHEESE

In 2008, they also started producing ice cream. Gangstad now offers cream ice cream, yogurt ice cream, and sorbet in a variety of flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, licorice, coffee & whisky, raspberry, blueberry, lemon, and Skjenning Ice Cream. The selection varies with the seasons. During the summer season, you can enjoy ice cream in the idyllic courtyard at the farm.

If you've taken the Hurtigruten in recent years between Trondheim and Rørvik, there’s a good chance you’ve been offered farm-made ice cream from Gangstad.

FARM SHOP AT THE COURTYARD

Gangstad has one of several lovely farm shops along The Golden Detour. In addition to their own cheese and ice cream, they sell products from other local food producers. The farm shop also offers tasteful gift packages, which are popular gifts both for Christmas and celebrations throughout the year. The farm shop at Gangstad is open Monday to Friday. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.
