Inderøy Distillery Wins Drink of the Year
Among the three finalists for Drink of the Year at the Trøndelag Food Festival, two were from Inderøy: Inderøy Distillery and Inderøy Cidery. Congratulations to both of them!

Hooray - we are incredibly proud of the awards two of our members received at the Trøndelag Food Festival 2024.
VI Aquavit from Inderøy Distillery took top honors in the Drink of the Year category, closely followed by the Rhubarb Drink from Inderøy Cidery. Congratulations to Svein Berfjord and the team at Inderøy Distillery!

The drink of the year represents complexity and a fresh breath.

What Inderøy Distillery Says About the Winning Product:
VI Aquavit represents a new style of aquavit that appeals to a new generation of consumers. It has a rounded and mild flavor of caraway, hints of raspberry and sea buckthorn, rounded tones of elderflower and meadowsweet. We have only distilled local herbs from Trøndelag, blended by "master mixologist" Jørgen Dons. This was named the world's best aquavit in 2022 and awarded the title of the world's best clear spirit!
Inderøy Cidery, also among the finalists with their non-alcoholic rhubarb drink: A hearty congratulations to Yngve and Maren as well, this is a huge achievement!
