SAGA
Right by the center of Straumen is SAGA, the bathing hotel in Inderøy. Here, you can enjoy both educational and relaxing stays with the fjord as your closest neighbor. Saga offers an outdoor sauna, a bathing pier, and is just a stone's throw from Sundsand Beach. The hotel features a conference and event section, a party venue with catering, an art gallery, and hosts photographic workshops through Norway’s largest photo workshop organizers, NORDphotography.
SAGA is beautifully situated right by the water, where Borgenfjorden meets the tidal current that gave the village of Straumen its name. Originally a sawmill, hence the name, Saga was converted into a hotel with a creative center, gallery, and event venue in 2012. The hotel rooms were refurbished in 2023 and now feature fresh tones and beautiful photographic art on the walls. You’ll find practical meeting rooms at SAGA, as well as a lecture hall, a large event space, and a kitchen that invites long breakfasts and lunches.

ACCOMMODATION
SAGA offers accommodation for around 100 guests, with or without meals. You can book single stays or accommodations for larger groups. The rooms are simply but comfortably furnished. Each floor has showers and toilets.
You can book breakfast. There is also a common area with a kitchen if you wish to prepare your own breakfast or other meals.
We have some spaces for camper van parking.
KITCHEN BASED ON LOCAL AND ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
The kitchen at Sund holds a silver serving mark from Debio, which means at least 50% of all the food served is organic. In 2016, Sund Folkehøgskole received the Debio Prize for its work with organic food at the National Food Prize 2016.
The kitchen is also an inspiration for other large-scale kitchens aiming for organic food and organizes courses for other large kitchens.

MEETING, COURSE, AND EVENT VENUES
Sund Folkehøgskole rents out rooms for courses, events, weddings, and other celebrations when there are no students at the school. Simple events during the school year are also possible.
The kitchen offers very competitive prices, and we tailor the arrangements to your wishes.
