Perched above the Old Sakshaug Church, near the monument dedicated to Aasmund Olavsson Vinje, lies the Husfrua Farm Hotel, a Trønder-style longhouse. With a view over Straumen and the fjord, Husfrua is a fantastic place to meet. Whether it’s colleagues building a team, a board holding a meeting, or small private gatherings like birthdays or weddings, Husfrua is an ideal location.

We have a summer café open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00 to 16:00.

Welcome to the farm, enjoy the magnificent view, and watch the animals grazing nearby. You might even see the farmer driving by on his tractor.

VARIOUS TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation takes place either in historic surroundings in the Trønder-style longhouse's second floor or in modern farmhouses on the courtyard. Husfrua offers nine bedrooms with a total of 20 beds.

The Trønder-style longhouse originally stood 8 kilometers away but was relocated in 2008 to its current site. When you visit Husfrua, it’s easy to see why Aasmund Olavsson Vinje was inspired to write, “Here I see beautiful fjords and valleys.”

Husfrua Farm Hotel is certified as an InderøyVert. An InderøyVert business is trained in hospitality, local history, and tourism offerings in Inderøy.
