How to get to Inderøy

Inderøy is easy to reach, whether  travelling by plane, train or car. With Trondheim Airport Værnes just 1 1/2 hour away, the distances are not great when travelling to Inderøy.

Travelling to Inderøy by car

To the South, Trondheim is 105 km , and it is about 230 km to both Oppdal og Røros, while to the north it is 20 km to Steinkjer, 125 km to Grong and 600 km to Bodø.

If arriving from the South along the E6, there are 2 options. Exit the E6 by the petrol station and Elgkora tavern at Røra, reaching Straumen via Flagveien. The road is winding and hilly, but passing through beautiful scenery. The exit is signposted “Den Gyldne Omvei” from E6.

Alternatively, continue about 1 km and turn onto Fv. 755 to Straumen sentrum in Inderøy. The road to the centre of Straumen passes partially along the Borgenfjord.

Arriving from the North along the E6, exith at Vist, 6 km South of Steinkjer, and follow Fv. 761. You pass through the village Sandvollan before arriving in Straumen, the municipality center of Inderøy.  The exit from Vist is also signposted “Den Gyldne Omvei”.

Arriving via the Fosen peninsula from the west, follow Fv. 755 from Vanvikan in Leksvik municipality.

Travelling to Inderøy by train

If you are travelling to Inderøy without a car, arriving at Inderøy with Train (NSB) and arranging for “taxi for bus-service” is a great option. The Train station is Røra, about 7 km South east of Straumen in Inderøy. Please note:  “taxi for bus” from Røra must be booked minimum 3 hours in advance, and there are a limited number of departures.

The local train from Trondheim also stops at Sparbu and Steinkjer train stations, about 22 km north of Straumen.

Travelling to Inderøy by buss

You can travel to both Mosvik town centre and Straumen town centre by bus from both Steinkjer, Levanger and Vanvikan in Fosen.

If you are arriving from other places in Norway, travel with Nor-Way Bussekspress to Steinkjer or Røra and continue on with alternative forms of transport.

Travelling to Inderøy by plane

The nearest airport is Trondheim Airport Værnes, just 75 km away, to the south in the direction of Trondheim.

From Værnes you can catch the train to Røra train station and use taxi for bus service mentioned above in “Travel by Train”.

You can fly with Norwegian Air Shuttle, SAS or Widerøe to Trondheim Airport Værnes.

The e-mail address will also be deleted if we receive feedback that it is not active.

5. Registration, form

The website may have a form for registration, contact form or other form. These forms are available to the public to perform the tasks they are supposed to do. Registration form is for visitors to sign up or register. Contact form is for visitors to easily send a message to the website's contact person. We ask for the name of the sender and contact information for this. Personal information we receive is not used for purposes other than responding to the inquiry. The form is sent as email via Mailgun as a third party solution. The entire submission will be stored at Mailgun for 24 hours. Between 24 hours and 30 days, only mailheader is stored before the submission is deleted after 30 days. The reason for this storage is to confirm whether emails are sent from the website and forwarded to the correct recipient. Once the email is received by the recipient, it is up to the recipient to determine the data processing needs of the email.

6. Page and service functionality

Cookies are used in the operation and presentation of data from websites. Such cookies may contain language code information for languages ​​selected by the user.
