The idea of a park at the outlet of the Granaelva river in Straumen is by no means new. It was resumed and carried out by Per Vatn and the others in the committee for the municipality’s millennial commemoration place. Countless hours of voluntary work and many gifts have made the park what it is today. The Muustrø park is widely visited by school classes on excursion, and by anyone wanting to experience the art in the park. Visitors from far and wide are impressed by the overall presentation and the idyllic and peaceful atmosphere of the park. Nils Aas Kunstverksted is located a couple of hundred meters away and offers guided tours of the park for groups.
