Inderøy Slakteri is probably best known for the Trønder national dish `sodd`, however they also produce a number of other award-winning meat products.
UNIQUE AND TRADITIONAL PRODUCTION
Inderøy Slakteri (butchery shop) is steeped in tradition and both the shop and production facilities are situated right in the middle of the town centre of Straumen. They produce meat products and dishes, based on genuine food traditions from Inderøy.
Inderøy Sodd, which must NOT be confused with Innherred sodd, has been produced in the same manner, from the same recipe, since 1938. So for over 80 years the inhabitants of Inderøy and other Sodd- patriots have been enjoying this Trønder festive dish.
PRODUCERS OF NUMEROUS MEAT PRODUCTS
In addition to Sodd, Inderøy Slakteri also produce a number of other award-winning meat products. They produce several kinds of sausages and cured meat sausages, like coarse sausages, the Straumpølsa, Morr sausage and Elk salami, and of course the unique and tasty meatballs used in the Sodd. Many of the products from Inderøy Slakteri have over recent years received prizes or awards during Norwegian Championships in meat products.
WHERE CAN YOU BUY SODD?
The Sodd and the meatballs from Inderøy Slakteri can be bought in stores across the entire country, while the rest of the products can be bought locally in mid Norway. Inderøy Slakteri also has a small shop in Straumen town centre.
If you are wondering how much Sodd, potatoes and carrots are needed for your party or event, Inderøy Slakteri has developed a sodd calculator telling you how much you need.
