Husfrua Country Farm Hotel is situated on a magnificent viewpoint above Sakshaug old church, by the memorial of Aasmund Olafson Vinje. With one of the most spectacular views of Straumen and the Trondheimfjord, this is a wonderful meeting place. Husfrua boasts 9 bedrooms accommodating up to 20 people. 6 of the rooms are in historic surroundings on the first floor of the charming Trønderlåna and the remaining 3 bedrooms are in modern free-standing small external houses in the farm yard.
FARM SHOP IN THE OLD STOREHOUSE
The farm shop is located in the old store house, featuring everything from home accessories, antiquities and farm food produced on the farm.
Husfrua is a charming traditional Trønder farm house (Trønderlån) from 1867, built by the great great grandfather of the current owner. In 2008, the farmhouse was moved to its current location, in its entirety, using technology developed for the oil industry. Husfrua country farm hotel is one of the many unique places along the Golden Road.
